In this study, data from previous studies were considered. Details of 3,724 men were analyzed. All men were over the age of 20. The data of these men were divided into three groups, based on the amount of coffee they consumed each day.
Men who consumed between 85mg and 303mg of caffeine each day had a lower incidence of erectile dysfunction. This data was compared to men who consumed between 0mg and 7mg of caffeine on a daily basis.
With this in mind, it does seem that coffee and other caffeine drinks may help a bit. And when it comes to your performance in the bedroom, every little help you can get is great when experiencing ED symptoms.
Lifestyle and ED
There are multiple lifestyle factors that can increase the likeliness of ED.
If you are overweight, you’ll have to examine your eating habits. Try not to eat food that doesn’t have any nutritional value. These foods are often loaded with carbs and saturated fats. Instead, opt for nutrient-dense foods. Get enough exercise to ensure you burn calories. You do not have to participate in strenuous activities. Join a community walking club. You could also take your dogs for a walk – just make sure to walk at a fast pace to ensure you still burn some calories.
It is important to remember that your goal is to lose weigh bit by bit. So fast passed walking will help initially but later you will have to change to a different exercise routine.
You should also consider limiting your intake of alcohol. Excessive alcohol consumption has been shown to cause ED symptoms. While this may only be mild in the beginning, the symptoms can get worse. Remember that alcohol is addictive. Drinking uncontrollably can have additional complications in store for you.
If you are smoking, now might also be a good time to give up this habit. Smoking narrows the blood vessels, which leads to reduced blood flow.

Getting to the cause of your lifestyle problems is a great way to start.
Oral medication like Viagra and Cialis are specifically made to increase the blood flow to your penis, which enables you to get an erection. This should only be taken before you plan on having intercourse. It’s generally advised to take these drugs about an hour before sex.
ED can be a detrimental condition, causing a low self-esteem and even problems like performance anxiety. With the right lifestyle changes, you can make a difference. Studies also show that caffeine might be a good option for men with ED. This also shows that having that cup of coffee in the morning could be a great way to prevent ED, or at least reduce the risks. When looking at caffeine and ED, the incidence is lower among men taking more than 85mg of caffeine each day.
